OVERVIEW
Estate cleanouts are emotional, complicated and exhausting work — and PrimeX has handled hundreds of them across Bend, Redmond, Sisters and Sunriver since 2019. Whether you’re a family member managing a parent’s estate, an executor of a will, a probate attorney, or a realtor preparing an estate property for market, we bring discretion, sensitivity and decades of combined experience to a process that no one looks forward to.
Every estate cleanout starts with a no-charge walkthrough at the property. We meet you on-site (or with you on FaceTime if you’re out of town), walk every room together, and identify what stays, what’s donated, what’s recycled and what’s hauled. We give you a firm written quote at the end of the walkthrough — and only then do we schedule the work.
On the day of the cleanout, our crew arrives in branded trucks and uniforms. We work room by room, set aside anything you’ve flagged for family or for sale, photograph anything questionable, and move methodically. Most single-family Bend or Redmond estates can be fully cleaned out in 1-3 days depending on size.
An estate cleanout is never just a junk haul. The contents of the house represent a lifetime — and we treat them that way. Furniture in usable condition goes to Bend Habitat ReStore. Clothing goes to NeighborImpact and Bethlehem Inn. Books to local libraries and Friends of the Library sales. Working appliances are donated. Working electronics are donated where possible, recycled where not.
What can’t be donated is sorted: metal to scrap, e-waste to certified recyclers, paper to recycling, organics to composting. Only the genuinely unusable goes to the landfill. For most estates we handle, that’s less than 30% of the total contents.
We work routinely with Central Oregon probate attorneys, estate sale companies and realtors. If you’re an executor managing a property remotely, we can coordinate the entire cleanout via phone, photo and video — many of our clients are family members in California, Washington or Idaho dealing with a Bend property.
If the property is going to market, we coordinate with the listing realtor on timing — we can be in and out before the photographer shows up. If there’s an estate sale planned first, we’ll come after the sale and clear what didn’t sell.
Some estates involve difficult circumstances: hoarding, neglect, biohazards, or properties that haven’t been maintained for years. PrimeX is experienced and equipped for these situations.
